BREAKING NEWS! Post Office on lock-down after burglary

POP-1Basseterre, St. Kitts, 19th June, 2017 (MyVueNews.com) - The departments of the Basseterre Post Office are closed to the public, as an investigation is under way regarding a break-in at the facility.

Officials at the Post Office declined making comment indicating that a statement will be issued as soon as possible.

Many persons were observed walking up to the doors only to discover the “Closed’ signs.

A source indicated, however, that the burglars opened packages and letters at various locations on the compound, and they are still trying to determine the extent of the damage.

Some workers could be seen wearing gloves.

MyVueNews.com will update on the situation.

All postal services were unavailable for the whole of Monday.
